Keith Olbermann's Ego Exits Stage Left

It's a wrap. After eight tumultuous years on air at MSNBC, Keith Olbermann's Ego exits, stage Left.
MSNBC and Keith Olbermann have ended their contract. The last broadcast of "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" will be this evening. MSNBC thanks Keith for his integral role in MSNBC's success and we wish him well in his future endeavors.
There's a certain implied "Don't let the door hit you on your ass" in that statement, no?

Television has never been known for its gratitude however, and the Comcast effect must already be in place at MSNBC for The Ego to exit so quickly after they took over.

This blog has snarked on Keith's world-famous Ego for the last couple of years. We've had some good laughs at his expense and we thank him for never suing his for it. While not always thrilled with the bravo and bluster, and while we could have done without some of his excesses and obsessions, we now end our relationship, such as it was, as a fan.

Good luck to Keith Olbermann's and his world-famous Ego in all that he does from this point forward and thank you for being a voice in the wilderness for the eight years. So here's a song in your honor, Mr. Olbermann.
