Keith Olbermann's Ego Exits Stage Left

It's a wrap. After eight tumultuous years on air at MSNBC, Keith Olbermann's Ego exits, stage Left.
MSNBC and Keith Olbermann have ended their contract. The last broadcast of "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" will be this evening. MSNBC thanks Keith for his integral role in MSNBC's success and we wish him well in his future endeavors.
There's a certain implied "Don't let the door hit you on your ass" in that statement, no?

Television has never been known for its gratitude however, and the Comcast effect must already be in place at MSNBC for The Ego to exit so quickly after they took over.

This blog has snarked on Keith's world-famous Ego for the last couple of years. We've had some good laughs at his expense and we thank him for never suing his for it. While not always thrilled with the bravo and bluster, and while we could have done without some of his excesses and obsessions, we now end our relationship, such as it was, as a fan.

Good luck to Keith Olbermann's and his world-famous Ego in all that he does from this point forward and thank you for being a voice in the wilderness for the eight years. So here's a song in your honor, Mr. Olbermann.

Me too LK, me too. I will miss him even if at times he frustrated me with that over-the-top ego and me me me please look at me personality. More importantly, why is he gone and Glen Beck who lies every single day in every single way is still on the air? Life is not fair.

His staff found out when we did. Not cool at all.

Notice he did not thank Izzy Povich. Probably considers her a traitor.

Does anyone know if his whole staff is out of a job?

Notice how MSNBC didn't even post the transcript of his last show. That was cold.

I'd say based on this article that not all was as sudden as it seemed; refer specifically to his agency change from Jean Sage to ICM.

Mariana, the Izzy oversight was uncalled for, no matter what position Povich is in now.

Let me explain this to you. Izzy now works for Larry O. That makes her a traitor in the Ego's book.

Hang on to that domain name, Ego. The real Keith will be back, you can count on it. Then we can all get back to making fun of him again.

Oh, and don't miss this one at the Post:

Thanks for the post, marinara. What I found interesting about the article, if true, is someone blocking Katy Tur from speaking. I wonder why.
