A Very Special, Special Comment by Keith Olbermann

Keith Olbermann's Ego is famed for his Very Special, Special Comments. But tomorrow night's Special Comment will be even more special than all the Special Comments that came before. Why you ask? Because Keith Olbermann's Ego has seen fit to make it an hour-long Special Comment! You read right my adoring fans. Keith Olbermann will be devoting the entire 60-minutes of Countdown tomorrow night to a Very Special, Special Comment on Health Care. It'll be just like Glenn Beck but without all the insanity but with intelligence and eloquence--two things that no one on Faux News has but that the Ego has in abundance because as you all know by now, The Ego is a genius.

I hope he paces his rage, otherwise we're looking at the potential for a heart attack live on-air. That would make the GOP happy though.

And the timing of this special comment which just happens to coincide with the first game of the MLB playoffs with the Twins against the Yankees at Yankee Stadium is purely a coincidence right?

Wow! I'm excited! No Yankees game for me tonight.

Please explain, Cynic. Are you saying that he taped the whole thing so he could attend the playoffs? He doesn't need to do that. He can take time off whenever he wants. He probably has it written into his contract that he can take time off to attend Yankees games, playoffs, and the world series.

If that's not what you meant, then....?

My favorite thing is the "as promised" part. Like we've all done our chores and our homework and now we get our reward. :-)

Here some suggest if you watch the show

Your SC was great, Keith! I'm serious, I liked it. Not over the top at all, and I'm not being sarcastic. Good job. The Ego should be proud. And Rachel liked it, too! That means a lot, I know.

Greyfawn, "As promised" just means he hyped it in advance no the show, and over at the blog with the Kos Kidz. So he can say that.

Cynic, still haven't divined what you meant by your comment, but I thought of something else along those lines. Since The Ego decided, probably weeks ago that he would eventually have to inform his audience of how sick his dad is, once we all found out, it would look terrible for Keith to be out enjoying himself at a baseball game while his dad was dying, like he did when his mom was dying. The Ego will not make that mistake twice.

Correct you are Marinara. The Ego is a genius is he not?

I know, but "as promised" still feels a bit like a pat on the head after jammies are on and teeth brushed. :-) And he didn't say it last night, either. Probably because there wasn't an advance blog on Kos. You're right -- it was an excellent program.

The Ego did an awesome job, as usual. And of course he must state "as promised", for how else would he remind us of his altruistic commitment to endow us with such righteously biased knowledge? Being allowed to embrace The Ego's intelligence and indignation should never be expected, for it is not a right, but a privilege.

My wife and I were very touched by your Special Comment. We always enjoy your Special Comments and don’t think Ben Affleck does a decent job imitating it. He misses the passion that the speaker has for the subject matter. Humor is alright, but Darrell Hammond would have done a better job.

This Special, Special Comment was so different from the rest. It had passion like all your other ones, but it had so much more. It hit home with everyone single living person. Some day we are all going to die. I plan not to, but everyone else will.

All kidding aside, this Special Comment must not be tucked away somewhere in the archives on msnbc.com. It must have life beyond this. If it doesn’t then we’ll be stuck with either no health care reform, or God help us, the Max Baucus plan.
