Keith Olbermann's Ego sends you Seasons Greetings. The Ego likes using phrases like "Happy Holidays" and "Seasons Greetings" because it pisses off Bill "Say Merry Christmas or else you're a terrorist" O'Reilly and the other network of freaks over at Fox News.

I know you want to know where The Ego has been lately and the answer is none of your damn business. Just know that The Ego is a very very important man and has many important things to do, you know, like bidding on even more baseball memorabilia on Ebay. Where was I? Oh yeah, Happy Christmas, Merry Holidays, blah blah blah. Now what did you get me for Christmas because as you know, it's all about The Ego, as it should be. Now please excuse the Ego while he takes the rest of the year off, because it's an exhausting job being Keith Olbermann's Ego after all.

The Washington Post: Keith Olbermann was willing to quit for his right to blast Bill O'Reilly

This according to Keith Olbermann's Ego's Ego and the Washington Post and Howard Kurtz.

The peace talks with Fox sparked a fierce battle within MSNBC, where a faction led by Olbermann argued that the network's journalistic integrity was at stake -- and that any leak of a nonaggression pact with Fox could damage NBC's reputation for independence.

See? The Ego was leading the forefront, battling for journalistic independence and integrity. What? No, I don't know why the Ego forgot to mention this until now. Huh? Of course this latest version of events has everything nothing whatsoever to do with the many attacks on Keith Olbermann's Ego this week in internet land.

The day after Olbermann's comments about the Tiller slaying, executives convened a large meeting and talked about Fox and the importance of striking the right on-air tone. Olbermann later expressed a willingness to make minor adjustments in his style, but he and his allies, concerned about setting a precedent, dug in for a fight. Olbermann left Zucker and executives with the impression that he might quit if the dispute wasn't resolved to his satisfaction.

Several liberal bloggers have chastised their ally Olbermann. The Huffington Post's Jason Linkins wrote that Olbermann is lying, charging that he stopped talking about O'Reilly after June 1 because he had been silenced by the GE brass. But Olbermann told another critic, Salon's Glenn Greenwald, that "there's no 'deal.' I would never consent, and, fortunately, MSNBC and NBC News would never ask me to."

And this my friends is how the game is played. The Ego got a lot of bad press from this Liberal allies" (allies my ass) and decided to one up them. So what did Keith Olbermann's Ego do? Why pick up the phone and spin a new version of events. And what do you know, this article appears at the Washington Post (the great rival to the NY Times) and this my friends is how once again Keith Olbermann's Ego's has managed to turn shit into sugar ad emerge smelling like a rose. Now everyone is free to heap praise on the Ego once again as he is once again a brave fighter for truth, integrity, and most importantly, for Keith Olbermann's Career the American Way.

Both moguls expressed regret over the venomous culture between the networks and the increasingly personal nature of the barbs. Days later, even though the feud had increased the audience of both programs, their lieutenants arranged a cease-fire, according to four people who work at the companies and have direct knowledge of the deal.

Look, Keith Olbermann's Ego could care less about any deal that Immelt and Murdoch made (thanks alot Charlie Rose for being so "helpful"). The Ego totally agreed to the deal because who are we kidding? They pay Keith Olbermann's Ego $7.5 mil a year, and just gave Katy (another) new job would never, ever make such a deal atsoever about whatever little deal that Immelt and Murdoch made.

Mr. Olbermann, who is on vacation, said by e-mail message, “I am party to no deal,” adding that he would not have been included in any conversations between G.E. and the News Corporation. Fox News said it would not comment.

What? You want me to translate what The Ego meant by not being party to a deal and would not be a party to such a deal? The Ego wasn't there people. That's what it means. He was not physically present in the room with Immelt, Murdoch and Charlie Rose when they cut the deal.

In early June, the combat stopped, and MSNBC and Fox, for the most part, found other targets for their verbal missiles (Hello, CNN).

Keith Olbermann's Ego would just like to remind everyone that the embedded video above? You know the one from "Early June" (June 1st)? Where Keith Olbermann's Ego issued a mandate to "quarantine" Fox News and Bill O'Reilly? There is absolutely no connection whatsoever between The Ego's ultimatum and the agreement between the two networks to ceasefire (even if there is video evidence suggesting otherwise).If the Ego says it never happened, it never happened. No matter what Salon says either.

UPDATE: And this guy at Inside Cable News who says that Keith Olbermann's Ego used the murder of Dr. Tiller to save this and stop talking about Fox and Bill O'Reilly? He's 100% correct wrong.

And if the Ego wants to trash Rupert Murdoch and all things Fox, then it will be so. No matter what the suits at NBC-Universal tell him. And if the Ego does happen to stop talking about Murdoch, Fox, and BOR? It's just a coincidence, got it?

Never mind the ratings, let's go to the movies!

Keith Olbermann's Ego is not loving the ratings for May. So instead, let's go to the movies. This looks like the feel-good flick of the year to me.

So host a speaker you don't necessarily agree with, if not literally then in spirit. Listen to both Rush Limbaugh and Michael Moore, Keith Olbermann and Bill O'Reilly, President Bush and President Obama. Broaden your horizons, give your ideological opponents the same attention and respect you give your favorite columnist or commentator. Leave your opinions open to a good challenge and don't be afraid to agree with the other side on an issue or two.

WTF? Seriously, Keith Olbermann's Ego cannot believe someone would dare suggest such a thing. The right is always wrong and Keith Olbermann is always right, got it? There is no need, whatsoever, to ever listen or watch anyone other than Keith Olbermann, ever. Case closed!

There isn't even a contest. Keith Olbermann or Bill O'Reilly?

The Ego has a love-hate relationship with Jossip. Sometimes they like The Ego, sometimes not. Today they're gauging public opinion on who is worse-Keith Olbermann or Bill-O. They're f'ing kidding The Ego aren't they?

Again, to be sure, Olbermann is not the type of man to beatify, and he should be watched with the same amount of skepticism one brings to a magic show…but he's still better than Bill O'Reilly.

This is the part that the Ego has the real problem with. What does they mean that The Ego is not someone to beatify? I'm Keith Olbermann's Gigantic Ego, an ego like none other. I'm brilliant. Handsome. Rich. Successful. I am exactly the type of man whose likeness should be carved in stone somewhere. How dare Jossip suggest otherwise.

Reasons why I hate the LA Times

As if Keith Olbermann's ego needed any additional reasons to hate the LA Times there's there alleged media "critic" hating on the greatness that is Keith Olbermann. She actually had the audacity to claim that Keith Olbermann was one of the worst things in television this year.

Keith Olbermann at the Democratic convention (MSNBC). We've been wondering where the line between anchor and pundit was drawn these days. With his harangues, rants, instant analyses and general boorishness, Olbermann found it, crossed it and was sent down.

At least Bill O'Reilly and Sarah Palin made the list too.

So this idiot at Portfolio says that MSNBC can't be the liberal Fox. I beg your pardon. That's who we already are. First of course he references legitimate news organizations who are of course quoting the NY Post.

What on earth is going on at MSNBC? Politico, Variety and The Wall Street Journal all have stories today about how personal friction between Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews and Joe Scarborough has increasingly been spilling over onto the screen. "They have to just grow up," says Connie Chung. Or, you know, whip out a measuring tape and get it over with.

Rumor-mongering idiot.

Everything on Fox is subordinate to this sensibility. If Bill O'Reilly were to go off the reservation, Roger Ailes would just dump him and make a new O'Reilly from scratch. At MSNBC, it's all different. There's no top-down governing sensibility; whatever sensibility there is has emerged willy-nilly. Because there's nothing bigger than the personalities, the personalities have expanded to fill the vacuum. Keith Olbermann knows he can't be easily replaced because what would you replace him with? He's an accident. There's no mold to refill. NBC hitched its wagon to his star, and now it's hostage to his whims. And if those whims include humiliating his co-anchors on-camera or refusing to share a stage with Tom Brokaw, what are you going to do?

Damn right it's built around me. And what's the problem with that buddy? I've got them over a barrel and they know it. I own those bitches dammit.

When Rupert Murdoch decided to start a news network with a political slant, it was in the spirit of "If we build it, they will come." MSNBC's mantra, in contrast, has been "If they come, we'll build it." Politics aside, which is a better way to erect a lasting edifice?
