Keith Olbermann's Ego-Twit's Tweets in the Library of Congress

It's no accident that a week after the greatness that is Keith Olbermann's Ego-Twit began tweeting that the Library of Congress decided to being archiving every single tweet tweeted on Twitter (you try saying that three times fast). Now Keith Olbermann's Tweets will be perserved forevermore as evidence of the greatness that is Keith Olbermann's Ego (along with the Ego's well-known fascination with anything baseball, Yankees-related, and of course, hot young babes).

Yeah, we'd really hate to miss a single of the drooly posts you've made in response to those skank 'hos.

Actually, I suspect it was the other way around. He got advance notice that they were archiving and started tweeting immediately.

Actually I never realized that he was that boring, but who can be super-interesting in 140 characters or less? I guess it doesn't take a lot to impress his fans.

I think he's starting to show his age though. In his youth, he used to follow ladies around in person, but now he does it on his butt via the internet. That's just lazy to not even want to get up to chase young tail. I think that indicates he must not have enough pep to keep anyone, young or ancient, satisfied. If I were one of these young ladies, well, I would keep that thought in mind!

Greyfawn is correct in understanding that the Ego wants his greatness perserved for all time.

Interesting theory, Greyfawn, and it would be just like The Ego not to anticipate that he could very well regret having these little missives archived for all time. It won't paint a pretty picture of him.

I thought his sudden 180 in attitude about tweeting was very interesting. Either he knew something about the archiving, or MSNBC wanted all of their hosts to be on Twitter. Considering that he really doesn't usually care what MSNBC wants....

Greyfawn, you are off the mark! Here's the real reason The Ego is on Twitter. It was the only way Katy could get rid of him without breaking his heart. Kinda like those Swiffer ads. "You'll dump your old mop--but don't worry, he'll find someone else..."

Katy persuaded The Ego that once he started tweeting, he'd find a brand-new universe of ladies out there, even younger and just as pretty as her fine self, who would be more than happy to fawn all over him and compete in entertaining online feats of sexual exhibitionism in hopes of taking her place. And darned if she wasn't right.

Once she was able to persuade him that her goodbye wasn't condemning him to a life of either loneliness or nothing but decrepit cat ladies his own age, they could part as friends. No harm done!

Anonymous, you do not understand the Ego. The Ego has found a way to preserve his perfect self without the messy and noisy act of actual procreation. Katy had nothing to do with it. It was the Ego's idea entirely. Right, Ego? :-)

Something interesting about the Ego-Twit. He really enjoys the abuse, and the worse the abuse the more he likes it. He responds to hecklers more than his own fans. He does not care if the hecklers follow and abuse his fans. He is having fun.

What happens to the Ego's fans is not the Ego's concern. The Ego's only concern of course is The Ego.

Didn't he always say he was beaten up by girls? I think he secretly liked it. He still does.
