How dare you sir!

Yes, YOU. You know who you are. The miserable right-wing loving bastards who seek to demean the greatness that is Keith Olbermann's Massive Ego.So this obviously bitter and angry GOP-lover wrote this about Keith Olbermann. (Because if anyone ever writes anything negative about Keith Olbermann that automatically makes them a GOP-loving bastard or bitch doesn't it?: You betcha). And then that was picked up by a cabal of bitter right-wing enablers including Wonkette. And Wonkette (yeah yeah they are so vile, so evil they posted about the greatness that is Keith Olbermann's ego not once but twice). And then Gawker. And the Boston Globe. And Huffington Post. Each and every one of them are right-wing sympathizers. And they are obviously trying to smear Keith Olbermann with any means possible. Which left Keith Olbermann only one choice: blog about it on Daily Kos and devote a major segment to it on Countdown, isn't that what everyone does?

Melodramatic there much KO? If you keep your mouth shut and pretend not to notice the offending item maybe people wouldn't delight so much in reposting it everywhere under the sun.

That's what I thought, too, SiG. I never heard of that website, and he just had to go and tell everyone about it. Brain must sometimes overcome Ego.

I have some sympathy for him, but he really is very long-winded and melodramatic. I wish Wonkette would have snarked on him for getting Katy her TWC channel gig---this "dead mom" incident pretty much blew that off the pages. Now he's wallowing like a pig in shit over the love/suck-up fest going on at the Daily Kos. Yuck, I really needed a shower after reading a few of those comments.

Best comment of the morning on this entire episode is from a tv industry blog:

The (lateset) story about Olbermann is nothing new for the people that have worked with him or around him. The guy is a complete asshole and it is unbelievable with the crap that MSNBC let's him get away with.

In a business full of huge egos, Olbermann's ranks up at the top (along with Fox News Idiot Bill O'Reilly).

In a business with some of the most frail egos, Olbermann tops the list.

The idea that a guy can act like he does and still keep his job tells you a lot about the TV industry.

It also shows you that the only thing MSNBC cares about is ratings.

There is no way Olbermann should have a job, but as long as he can pull in viewers, MSNBC is too gutless to fire him.

It's sad...but it's the truth....and that's everything that is wrong with Today's TV News in just a few paragraphs.

His fans have scooped down like flies on shit to those websites to protect their man. But has it ever occured to them that he's not always as right as they seem to think he is? He wasn't even very rational in his arguments, there was just something about last night's tirade that was way way way over the top, even for him. Time to see the shrink again KO.
